Spyder Moving and Storage has been a sponsor of Dude, IDK Studios, a Denver comedy and podcast studio, since June 2025. The support has since grown to the studio’s film-review podcast Did That Age Well?, a live Gremlins watch-along podcast night in November 2025, and the 2026 Denver Sketch Festival at RISE Comedy.

Spyder’s Denver office at 4777 Leyden St moves families and businesses across the metro. Backing the people who make Denver laugh is one small way the company puts money back into the city where its crews live and work.

Who are Dude, IDK Studios and RISE Comedy?

Dude, IDK Studios started in comedy and still describes itself as a place that puts comedians and creatives in the driver’s seat. The studio records podcasts, shoots headshots, produces sketch and stand-up shows, rents out its space for private events, and films comedy specials. Its podcast lineup includes Did That Age Well? and City Cast Denver, and it runs a calendar of ticketed live shows. Spyder Moving and Storage is listed on the studio’s site among the companies that sponsor it.

Did That Age Well? is a film-review podcast that has been on the air since 2020. Each episode looks back at a movie that shaped its audience and asks how it holds up today, usually with a guest at the table. The show is co-produced with Dude, IDK Studios.

RISE Comedy is a comedy club, improv theater and bar at 1260 22nd St in Denver’s Ballpark District, near RiNo and LoDo. It opened in 2011 as the Voodoo Comedy Playhouse, runs improv, sketch and stand-up shows most nights, and teaches classes through the RISE Comedy Training Center. Each October it presents the Denver Sketch Festival, a weekend of sketch comedy from Denver groups and visiting troupes.

What has Spyder sponsored in Denver comedy?

Here is what Spyder Moving and Storage has supported so far, in order:

When What Where
June 2025 Partnership with Dude, IDK Studios announced Denver
August 2025 – today Sponsor of the Did That Age Well? podcast Recorded in Denver, streamed nationwide
November 20, 2025 Gremlins watch-along live podcast party Dude, IDK Studios
October 8–10, 2026 Sponsor of the Denver Sketch Festival 2026 RISE Comedy Main Stage

The studio announced the partnership in June 2025 with a short comedy video. The podcast sponsorship is the longest-running piece: since August 2025, episodes of Did That Age Well? have thanked Spyder Moving and Storage as a sponsor, and an August 2025 sponsor post thanked Spyder for its partnership with Dude, IDK Studios and for supporting local art. The sponsor reads stay in character with the show. One January 2026 bit argued that Carrie Bradshaw would never have hauled her own boxes out of Big’s apartment and should have hired Spyder instead. In March 2026 the studio went a step further and posted a video about making Spyder its own toy.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, the Gremlins Watch Along turned the podcast into a live party at Dude, IDK Studios: the hosts of Did That Age Well?, Rainbow Cult and Good Night Denver watched the film with the audience, with games, commentary, movie clips and free popcorn. Tickets were $15 through Multipass, costumes were encouraged, and Spyder Moving and Storage was the event sponsor.

In September 2026, the Denver Sketch Festival named Spyder Moving and Storage an official sponsor of its 2026 edition, held October 8–10 on the RISE Comedy Main Stage. The 2026 lineup mixed Denver sketch groups with acts from as far away as Toronto and Los Angeles.

Why does a moving company sponsor comedy?

The short answer is that Spyder’s customers are Denver people, and so are the comedians, podcast hosts and audiences at these shows. The company’s crews move apartments and houses across the metro, and a lot of those moves land in the same neighborhoods where small studios and theaters keep the city interesting.

Small studios and theaters lean on local businesses: RISE Comedy offers sponsorship packages for the Denver Sketch Festival, and Dude, IDK Studios lists the companies that sponsor it on its site. For Spyder, that kind of sponsorship fits the rules it set for itself in its September 2026 community commitment: a portion of the company’s growth is set aside each year for local causes, it is not paid for with added fees on customer moves, and drivers and employees help decide which local groups to support next.

Comedy is not the only place Spyder shows up. The company also backs local sports and food programs, and it put its name on a truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series through its sponsorship of Freedom Racing Enterprises.

How can you support Denver comedy?

The easiest way is to go to a show or press play. A few places to start:

  • Catch a live show at Dude, IDK Studios. Its upcoming shows are listed on the studio’s website.
  • Listen to Did That Age Well? on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube.
  • See an improv or sketch show at RISE Comedy, or sign up for a class at its training center.
  • Mark your calendar for next October, when the Denver Sketch Festival returns to RISE.
  • Run a Denver show, studio or comedy night that could use a sponsor? Tell Spyder about it.
